This past spring, �ǿմ�ý School of Law welcomed Beth Nagusky (‘82) back to teach an elective course on climate law for first-year students.

On September 18, 2020, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg succumbed to her long battle with cancer.  The country lost a towering jurist and is about to enter into a contentious process of selecting her replacement.

Many entering first-year law students were planning to travel or work during the summer before beginning law school. For most, such plans had to be shelved when the coronavirus struck.

From the 1918 flu, Hurricane Katrina, to the H1N1 pandemic, history teaches that the poor and communities of color shoulder the greatest burden of disease, death, and loss both during and after public health disasters.

In Fall 2019, Mariah Dick (‘19) joined the �ǿմ�ý Law-Medicine Center as the Dean Lindsey Cowen Research Fellow, assisting faculty with cutting-edge research at the intersection of law, medicine and ethics. 

As of Sept. 1, 2020, �ǿմ�ý Law School's Scholarly Commons has had over 2.85 million downloads worldwide.

Starting this fall, �ǿմ�ý Law is offering a one-credit elective, “Race, Law and Society,” in response to recent anti-Black violence that has illuminated existing structural and institutional racism.
