Collections

Our holdings of print and electronic books and journals are included in the online . We maintain a core collection of legal monographs and serials, both in print and electronic format. There are more extensive collections in faculty research areas, including international law, business law, law and medicine and intellectual property.

Our participation in the statewide network allows direct access to borrow circulating print resources from other libraries throughout the state, as well as enhancing the array of online databases and other electronic resources that we provide. Through additional contacts with other libraries in the U.S. and abroad, we can help you acquire access to research materials beyond those available in the full OhioLINK network.

Determining if an Item is Available

First, find the book you are looking for in the catalog and note its status. If its status is available, please ask about access to the item at the circulation desk. 

Borrowing Non-ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Material

If an item you are looking for is not available at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ because it has been checked out or is not in the library’s collection, you may order an available item through . A request button is located in each record. When requesting an item for delivery, you must select ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ from the pull-down menu. Then enter your network ID (the portion of your email address before @case.edu) and password. You may select delivery to any library on campus, including our law library.

You may request books that are available neither on campus nor via OhioLINK by placing an request. Journal articles not available on campus or in electronic format can also be ordered via ILL. You may place and track your own ILL requests using the ILL management system. For best service, contact a reference librarian to determine availability of a resource before placing an ILL request in ILLiad, or refer to our .

Loan Periods & Fines

Case Law Library monographs accrue fines at the rate of 0.25/day. Other fines for special loans, recalled items, etc. may apply. OhioLINK overdue fines (0.50/day for monographs) cannot be waived for any users. InterLibrary Loan Materials fines accrue at a rate of 0.50/day. For lost Case Law Library Materials, patrons will be charged $110.0 for each lost item.
