Born from the request of a student, Veale Institute for Entreprenuership’s Pitch Playground was created to help students practice pitching without the pressure of competition.
Pitching is not just for presenting a business plan—we use it every day! We pitch to our parents, we pitch ourselves to potential employers, we even pitch our ideas and projects in our classes. Learning to pitch means being able to effectively communicate in order to compete for the rarest of resources—attention and engagement.
on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Nord Hall, room 356. Teams and individuals who register for this event will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and get real-time feedback from experts and mentors in our network. Cash prizes will be available to first- and second-place winners.
Please note that pitches will be limited to two minutes and our mentors will have five minutes to ask questions.
