The Undergraduate Research Office (URO) is now accepting applications for the Undergraduate Research Ambassador Program.
What do ambassadors do?
- Promote undergraduate research with brief scheduled announcements or information sessions in classrooms or for departments on campus. Ambassadors are required to complete four in-person activities per semester.
- Work with fellow ambassadors or others to develop an informal gathering/program of choice centered on undergraduate research.
- Present (alone or with others) at least one 鈥淎ll About Finding Research鈥 information session.
Additional expectations:
- Attend one ambassador training program
- Attend monthly check-ins
- Maintain a record of participation
Eligibility:
- One summer research experience or two semesters of research at the college level is the minimum requirement. Ambassadors do not have to have been funded by the URO.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude regarding undergraduate research and 星空传媒.
- Be in good academic standing and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Be passionate about sharing personal research experiences in-person and virtually.

- Receive $200 with required participation per semester.

Application requirements:
- One reference.
- A resume with your undergraduate research experience(s), including date of experience, faculty mentor's name, lab department and university/institution name.
- An essay (maximum 400 words) addressing the following:
- An overview of one research experience, including your faculty mentor's name, date of experience and summer program name (if applicable).
- What interests you about becoming an Undergraduate Research Ambassador
- What ideas you have for promoting Undergraduate Research
- What your main connection is to the Undergraduate Research Office. For example, what events, information sessions, funding opportunities have you participated in or are you aware of?
