From Feb. 28 to March 30, multi-faith prayer rooms will be available for students, including those observing Ramadan in Thwing Center room 206 or 324, available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 11 p.m. Prayer rugs will also be available for use in these spaces.
Please note that Thwing Center's hours will be modified for spring break:
- Closed: Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9
- Open: Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Closed: Saturday, March, 15
- Reopen: Sunday, March 16 with normal hours
Additionally, students can access multi-faith, prayer and quiet rooms in Sears Library, the Health Education Campus and the School of Law.
To support evening prayers and activities, the UCRC shuttle service will be extended from 10 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday during Ramadan. The shuttle will be on-call between Rainbow Babies and Children鈥檚 Hospital and Uqbah Mosque, with the last return trip departing at midnight. To request a pickup, call 216.368.6604.
These expanded services and facilities are a collaborative effort between student government representatives, The Office of Student Affairs, the Dean of Students Office, Student Centers and Campus Services.
