In 2005, the federal government enacted a law requiring all academic institutions that receive federal funds to hold educational programs on the United States Constitution, the highest law that provides the framework for our country’s government. This programming is to take place Sept. 17 each year in recognition of Constitution Day, commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.
Throughout the country, educational institutions offer training or events during the week of Sept. 17 which delve into the Constitution and our government. The Office of Research and Technology Management at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is pleased to offer resources for learning and celebrating Constitution Day.
