ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s BLSA Mock Trial team returned from the National Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition (CBMMTC) in Washington, D.C. as the second-ranked BLSA mock trial team in the nation. This latest victory comes less than one month after ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ won first place at the Midwest Regional CBMMTC in Chicago, Illinois.

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Law is proud to announce the formation of the first-ever Athlete Data Lab in partnership with alumni-founded Sports Data Labs, Inc. (SD Labs).

Before Ikenna Ezealah started law school at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in the summer of 2022, his professional goal was to be an international nation-building diplomat who works toward the progress and development of the African continent.

Third-year law student Matt Borcas has won the Ohio State Bar Association’s 2023 Litigation Writing Award. The annual award recognizes a law student for outstanding writing on a litigation-related topic.

The Arab American Bar Association of Ohio (AABAR-Ohio) serves to amplify the Arab American attorney’s voice through community service, mentorship, and social and legal engagement to tackle important societal and legal issues in conjunction with the Ohio legal community.

Austin (LAW ’68) and Gwendolyn Robosson Fragomen have committed $1 million to help expand ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Law’s impact in the field of immigration law.

The Case Western Law Review will publish three articles from the Center for Business Law’s Leet Symposium held on Nov. 4, 2022. The law review published the last two Leet Symposia, with the 2020 Leet focusing on the fiduciary and anticompetitive issues raised by the three big index funds.

From March 7-9, the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ ICC Moot Court Team competed in the Round of the Americas International Criminal Court Competition hosted by Pace University in White Plains, NY. The team is composed of Lucas Christensen (3L), Kelsey Tschanen (2L), Spencer Luckwitz (2L), Madeline McDaniel (2L) and Rose Lekan (1L). 

In February, the Case Western Vis Team participated in the annual Vis pre-moot competition hosted by Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Fourteen teams from seven different law schools competed against one another. Case Western’s team of Jim FitzGibbon (1L) and Nathaniel Sommers (1L) were awarded Best Team Orals 1st Runner Up.

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s BLSA Mock Trial Team recently won 1st place at the Midwest BLSA Regional Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition in Chicago, Illinois. Out of fifteen total teams competing, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ emerged victorious after facing Loyola Chicago, the University of Missouri, Saint Louis University and Cleveland State. 

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Law is proud to announce the first six graduates from its Masters of Compliance and Risk Management Program: Sally Enoh, JD/MA; Hunter Lauderback, MS/JD/MA; Jacob Gialamas, JD/MA; Michelle Robinson, JD/MA; Ethan Raditz, MA; and Ana Merdita, MS/MA. 

Twenty years after graduating from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Law, Michele Connell, Global Managing Partner of international law firm Squire Patton Boggs, will be her alma mater’s 2023 graduation ceremony speaker. This year’s law school commencement will take place from 9-10:30 a.m.

The 19th Annual Ohio Latin Americanist Conference (OLAC) was held in late February at Ohio University. This highly interdisciplinary conference promotes research in all areas of Latin America. Members of the LatinX Law Student Association attended and presented at the conference.
