David B. Miller, associate professor and director of international education programs, has been appointed the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Chair of the MSW Program commencing Jan. 1, 2022.
Miller has a long history of leadership in the school, university and community—he recently served as the Chair of the Faculty Senate, was Chair of our Steering Committee for three years, and was president of the South Euclid City Council for six years.
He has a deep commitment to the education mission of the school, understanding that all faculty members made a choice to enter the academy to be teachers and to create a powerful learning environment for all students. He will support faculty in carrying out their own teaching mission.
"I am confident that David will build on the strong service tradition set by current Associate Dean and Chair Sharon Milligan to ensure that our students receive an excellent education," said Dean Grover C. Gilmore. "Our students will feel the strong support of the school in reaching their goals."
