The Mandel School values the service experience and leadership skills gained through programs like City Year, Peace Corps, Coro Fellows, AmeriCorps and others. These scholarships recognize your commitment to leading change.
City Year
We partner with City Year to offer scholarship support for corps members and alumni:
- Traditional MSW Program (60 credits): $36,000 total ($18,000/year for two years)
- Advanced Standing MSW Program (39 credits): $27,000 total ($9,000/semester)
- Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) (39 credits): $27,000 total ($9,000/semester for three semesters)
Up to 10 recipients per year are selected across all programs. .
Paul D. Coverdell Fellows
Our valued partnership with the Peace Corps provides eligible Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV), a half-tuition Coverdell Fellowship. The half-tuition Coverdell Fellowship is available to students in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program, Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) program, and dual MSW/MNO degree programs. Current Peace Corps members are able to apply to our MSW and MNO programs during your final year of service, in preparation for their return to the US.
In partnership with the Peace Corps, we offer a 50% off tuition Coverdell Fellowship to eligible Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs). This applies to the:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) program
- Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) program
- Dual MSW/MNO degree program
Current Peace Corps members can apply during their final year of service to prepare for their return to the U.S.

Coro Fellows Program and Teach for America current members and alumni receive special consideration for scholarship support in recognition of their commitment to service and leadership.

AmeriCorps alumni receive either a Segal Education Award match or a Mandel School Scholarship - whichever provides the greater benefit
