  • Supreme Court Cites Erik Jensen

    For a law professor, being cited by the U.S. Supreme Court is the pinnacle of success. Professor Emeritus Erik Jensen's Northwestern University Law Review article on the 16th Amendment was cited by Justice Clarence Thomas in his dissent in Health & Hospital Corp of Marion County v. Talevski (2023).

  • Fred Gray Awarded the 2023 ABA Medal

    The American Bar Association will award the 2023 ABA Medal, the association’s highest honor, to Fred D. Gray (LAW ‘54), described by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as “the chief counsel” of the civil rights movement. Gray will accept the award at the ABA’s Annual Meeting in August.

  • Center for Business Law Hosts Professional Fellow for Governance and Society

    In May, the Cleveland Council on World Affairs welcomed a group of professionals from India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka on a program called the Professional Fellows Program for Governance and Society. One of these fellows, Urooj Shafi from Pakistan, was placed in an academic fellowship at Center for Business Law.
