Members of the ǿմý community are invited to join the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity and Kelvin Smith Library for an event celebrating the series. The event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 3 to 4 p.m., in Kelvin Smith Library’s Art Gallery. Attendees will have a chance to listen, read and reflect on passages from Black authors. Refreshments will be provided.
Dean Dexter Voisin and Mark Chupp, associate professor and founding director of the Community Innovation Network, both share readings in the recorded series—Voisin reads an excerpt from , by James Baldwin, and Chupp reads an excerpt from , by Ibram X. Kendi.
