As you know, the Office for Campus Enrichment and Engagement was recently created to maintain alignment with our university’s institutional values. Many of us who focus our work on the diversity of humanity are shifting our work to align with our new titles—I am now the Director of Enrichment and Engagement.
With the creation of this new office and its mission, I am reminded that the Mandel School does not exist as an entity unto itself. We are part of an institution, and we share its goals, values, dreams and challenges. While the school works to develop future leaders in social work and nonprofit leadership, the university strives to do this for nearly 100 majors and minors, all of which have goals and dreams for their students.
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s mission is to improve and enrich people’s lives through research that capitalizes on the power of collaboration and education that dramatically engages our students.
We will continue to collaborate, engage and harness the spirit of the university's values by promoting:
- Civility and the free exchange of ideas,
- Civic and international engagement, and
- Appreciation for the distinct perspectives and talents of each individual.
The Mandel School’s mission is to advance leadership in social work and nonprofit education, scholarship and service to build a more just world.
This is who we are as the Mandel School. And we do all of this because this is who we are as ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
