Four Mandel School faculty members have received MVP awards from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s media relations department:

  1. Rob Fischer, Grace Longwell Coyle Associate Professor in Civil Society and co-director of the Center on Poverty and Community Development;
  2. Dan Flannery, Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education;
  3. Jenny King, co-director of the Center on Trauma and Adversity; and
  4. David Miller, associate dean for academic affairs.

This is the first year the awards were given out—25 awards were distributed to university faculty across all nine schools and the College of Arts and Sciences. Faculty members received awards for being responsive and willing to share their expertise with a broader audience.

"We simply wanted to acknowledge and express our appreciation to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ faculty across the university who consistently step up and make themselves available for media interviews as expert sources in their field—interview requests that often come with extremely tight deadlines," explained Bill Lubinger, associate vice president of media relations and communications.
