Dr. Adrianne M. Fletcher, assistant professor and assistant dean of diversity and inclusion, will be taking a leave of absence from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ to assume a government role with the Supreme Court of Ohio. Effective May 1, she will become the court’s first director of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

Dr. Fletcher has been with the Mandel School since 2017 and has made significant contributions not only in her exceptional teaching, but also in her role as the school’s inaugural assistant dean of diversity and inclusion. She has worked across the school and university to provide strategic and collaborative leadership to meet the DEI needs of our faculty, staff and students.

The creation of this new court position is an opportunity for Dr. Fletcher to expand her impact at the state level. In her role, she will identify ways the court can better mirror the state’s diverse demographics and better understand the access that is needed for people with disabilities or language barriers.

"The talents Dr. Fletcher brought to the Mandel School will be utilized in her new position," said Dean Voisin. "We look forward to all that she will accomplish during her time with the Supreme Court of Ohio."

An announcement will be forthcoming about how the school will support Dr. Fletcher’s open position within the school during her leave of absence.
