The Louis A. Bloomfield Memorial Lecture is one of the oldest and most prestigious endowed lectureships in the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine. This year's speaker is the architect of the novel base and prime editing methods for accurately correcting genetic mutations that cause disease. In addition to devising ways to counteract the unfortunate effects of human evolutionary processes, Dr. Liu has also created a multitude of strategies for using in vitro molecular evolution and DNA-templated organic synthesis to create molecules for application in clinical medicine and beyond.
