How to Apply?
The provides a solid grounding in assessing the needs, strengths and resources of diverse communities and populations, as well as the skills essential in meeting contemporary challenges.
We take a broad view of health and wellness, drawing from experts in genetic epidemiology, health policy, prevention research and systems-based environmental health, among others. We also offer a range of courses in quantitative sciences to support analysis and demonstrate outcomes.
You will benefit from our robust network of community partners for internships or research opportunities. Settings include world-renowned health systems, departments of public health and local health centers, as well as health collaborations abroad with communities in which we have had a presence for decades.
The MPH does not qualify as a STEM program.
Application Requirements:
In addition to the SOPHAS required documentation of official U.S./Canadian (English-speaking) transcripts and C.V./Resume, please provide the following additional documentation with your application:

Personal Statement- discuss your motivation for obtaining a MPH degree. The personal statement should be 1 page in length.

Reflection Essay- Provide a brief description of how your personal or academic background and experiences have prepared you for graduate, professional training in public health and how the program will help you achieve your community’s public health objectives. Please also discuss and explain any unusual patterns or anomalies in your academic or professional record (for example, gaps in work or education, or a poor semester performance). The reflection essay should be 1-2 pages in length.

Recommendations- 3 evaluators total, sent electronically through the application portal. One recommendation MUST be from an academic institution/instructor.

Unofficial transcripts- In order to expedite the review, unofficial transcripts MUST be uploaded into the application. Please make sure uploaded unofficial transcripts are legible. Official transcripts are required by ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Graduate Studies upon matriculation.

The GRE general exam is NOT required. For individuals who wish to submit optional GRE scores may send them to institution code 4785 - ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ MPH Program SOPHAS.
International Applicants:
TOEFL or IELTS is required for International Applicants- Scores should be sent to our school code 5688 for SOPHAS. International applicants cannot be admitted without receipt of an acceptable official TOEFL or IELTS score. Acceptable scores are: TOEFL: 90 or higher; IELTS: 7.0 or higher. The TOEFL and IELTS are valid for two years after the test date. The language test requirement will be waived if you have completed a bachelors or masters degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction. See the School of Graduate Studies Language Score section for more information on waiving the requirement.
WES Requirement for International Applicants- If you are submitting transcripts from an institution outside of the United States that does not utilize the 4.0 GPA/grading scale, you will need to submit a WES Evaluation along with your transcript.

Candidates that are applying to a dual degree program, must complete the application through ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s application system and select the degree program that they are applying to.
