She is an award-winning journalist, five-time author, international speaker, and advocate for maternal and infant health. She is also the creator and co-founder of Black Breastfeeding Week and executive director of Narrative Nation, Inc., a non-profit that co-creates culturally relevant media and technology to eliminate health disparities.
