PRCHN's Erin Ogden honored as Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year for 2024 by the Ohio Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Briana McIntosh, Director of PRCHN's Research Operations, shared the following about Erin and this award:

 

"Erin has been an integral part of the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN) since 2022, currently holding the position of Project Manager for Nourish and MealSim under the guidance of Dr. Melissa Prescott, RDN. Her commendable track record includes previous management of community nutrition activities funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health initiative. Her partnership with the PRCHN began in 2020 as a research consultant around nutrition policies in local food pantries. Erin holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and is a distinguished Registered Dietitian. She is a preceptor for two Cleveland dietetic internships: ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s MS in Public Health Nutrition Dietetic Internship and Cleveland Clinic’s Dietetic Internship Program. She has been the Legislation and Public Policy Chair for the Greater Cleveland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GCAND) since 2020 and serves on GCAND’s Nominating Committee.

 

"The award ceremony is scheduled for the 2024 OAND Annual Conference on April 12 at Cincinnati State in Cincinnati, Ohio. This recognition highlights Erin's exceptional contributions, service, and commitment to the nutrition profession."
