Callie Ogland-Hand is an Epidemiology & Biostatistics Ph.D. student in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Wooster with a double major in Sociology and Mathematics. Callie is broadly interested in community health and health equity, and her interdisciplinary background allows her to critically investigate the systems in which we operate. Her research interests include food systems, obesity, and social media.
Before ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, Callie conducted research at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health to investigate self-regulation intervention methods for teens with type 1 diabetes. Outside of work and school, Callie enjoys crafting, reading, and being outdoors on hikes and backpacking trips.
