Lauren Cruz’s research aims to clarify the genetic basis of complex disease risk as well as promote equitable and diverse representation of minorities in health care research. She is exploring novel approaches to combat complex chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Primary Open Angle Glaucoma through genetic epidemiological methods.
