Each year, 25 to 30 ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ medical students travel abroad for study and research. Some students do this during the summer after their first year of study, which is the only scheduled break in the four year curriculum; others take one or two months of senior year electives abroad. Most of these students travel to developing countries, and recent students have gone to many countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
Returning students are asked to document their experiences abroad and provide this information to the Center for Global Health and Diseases.
