Introducing Houston Student Leaders for the Class of 2022
Each year, rising first-years in the Master of Science in Anesthesia Program have the opportunity to take on leadership roles at their respective locations of study in Cleveland, Ohio; Houston, Texas; and Washington, D.C.
The MSA Network is pleased to announce the following students have been selected for the Houston Class of 2022:
Meghan Mock | Houston | Student Co-Chief
Meghan chose to attend ǿմý MSA Houston because “the Texas Medical Center is unbeatable” and for the rotations done at “some of the greatest hospitals in the world”. She knew she couldn’t pass up this opportunity.
Elizabeth Rugutt | Houston | Student Co-Chief
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin with a degree in Chemistry and Biology. She wanted to focus on anesthesiology when she “came to appreciate the role that anesthesia plays in caring for patients during their surgical experience”.
Diana Bui | Houston | Professional Advocacy Representative
Diana’s goal as a student leader is to “spread awareness of the profession and get more people interested”. She also wants to work towards legislative bills that advocate on a larger platform for AAs to practice nationwide.
Curtis Stegman | Houston | Professional Advocacy Representative
Curtis graduated from the Ohio State University and then worked as a clinical lab technician at OSU Wexner Medical Center. Seeking a profession that provided a great work-life balance he discovered CAA’s and eventually shadowed one at OSU. He would also like to share that his superpower is watching lectures at 2x speed.
