2024 Wellness Programs

All benefits-eligible faculty and staff are invited to participate in Wellness Programs.

The Wellness Program Incentive is available to any Wellness Participant who successfully completes the program requirements in up to two of the following topics/areas. Most programs are offered via Zoom and are being recorded. While attending "live" sessions is encouraged, watching the recorded sessions will count toward attendance.

Career Well-being

Using one's strengths every day and maximizing professional potential enhances overall well-being and helps increase enjoyment and engagement at work.

Community Well-being

Having close relationships at work has been found to positively affect employee retention, safety, work quality and engagement.

Financial Well-being

Financial health is an important component of well-being. Research supports a link between financial savings and healthy lifestyle habits as well as an association between better health and less health care expense.

General Wellness

Enhancing the overall wellness of benefits-eligible faculty and staff is a core value of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Wellness Program and has been identified by Gallup as a critical factor to enhance work performance, productivity, morale and engagement, and to reduce illness and turnover.

Nutrition or Weight Management

Healthy eating and weight management are two critical components of a healthy lifestyle.  ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Wellness is committed to providing a variety of informative, evidence-based, and enjoyable options to help you attain your goals.

Physical Activity

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. It can help with weight management, reduce risk of cardiovascular disease, improve mental health and mood, and improve ability to do daily activities.

Sleep

Practicing sound sleep habits is critical for overall well-being, however >1/3 of adults in the U.S. average <7 hours of sleep each night and between 10-30% of adults deal with chronic insomnia. Learning about sleep hygiene and the importance of quality sleep occurs within the sleep programs we offer for faculty and staff.

Stress Management

Stress is experienced by many people on a daily basis. While all stress is not bad, chronic stress may affect overall health negatively.  Learning how to manage the stressors that one experiences is important for good health.

Tobacco Cessation

Tobacco use is one of the leading causes of preventable death.  The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention describe numerous negative effects associated with the use of tobacco (e.g., coronary health disease, stroke, and various cancers).
