Immunization FAQ

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ encourages all students to be up-to-date on their recommended vaccines, including COVID-19. While COVID-19 vaccine is not required at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, some clinical rotation sites may have their own COVID-19 vaccine requirements. As always, health science students will need to comply with the requirements of clinical rotation sites (or obtain an exemption from the clinical rotation site) in order to complete their degree requirements.  Students planning to participate in clinical education settings should contact their program advisor/society dean as soon as possible to discuss the impact of non-vaccination or non-receipt of a booster on clinical placements.

There are no required immunizations for International Students (except those in health related schools/programs). However, all students are required to fill out the Immunization form with their history of vaccinations already taken.

A titer is a blood test that confirms immunity.

You should contact your Health provider who can provide updated vaccinations or perform a test that will check your blood for antibodies which will determine immunity. You can also have these tests done at UHS at your own expense.

Please know that University Health and Counseling Services is not a billing entity. (This is almost always to the advantage of the student because we do not charge at all for visits, in-house procedures or point-of-care testing.) As such, we cannot bill an insurance company -- including the Aetna Student Medical Plan for an immunization that we administer. If we administer an immunization (with the exception of an INFLUENZA immunization at this time), a student must pay out of pocket, and then the student will need to submit the bill to their insurance company for reimbursement.

You should alert the University Health Service  by sending a message to the immunization nurse. via myhealthconnect.case.edu (Message - new message - I want to send a message to the immunization nurse) that the information you submitted is different than the information on your documentation. Your healthcare provider's documentation is the document of record.

You should upload your record to by logging onto  and selecting Medical Clearances. Click the grey "Add immunization record.." button to upload your records. YOU MUST also CLICK the BLUE "SAVE RECORDS" BUTTON TO COMPLETE THE UPLOAD. You will get a message stating your immunization documents were saved successfully.

This method is secure and places your information directly into your chart.

Filling out the online forms is required. Your documentation will not be processed unless you enter the information online and then submit the documentation. If you cannot access the online form or need to resend the documentation, please contact us.

Your online information must be verified by the supporting documentation before it can be considered part of your medical record. Health-related students are required to provide documentation of their immunization records.

You may upload additional documentation to myhealthconnect.case.eduat any time through the medical clearances tab.
