The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine's Office of Student Affairs and the Academic Societies provide service and support to medical students to enhance their personal and professional development.
Enriching Your Educational Experience
Funneled through the Academic Societies, students receive academic advising and career counseling and are guided to other resources and enrichment opportunities.
The office is also responsible for coordinating student events such as new student orientation, class meetings, the Student Clinician Ceremony, Match Day, the Graduation Awards Ceremony, and Alpha Omega Alpha chapter awards. Additionally, the office provides assistance as needed for the White Coat and Commencement Ceremonies, the Medical Student Research Day, and for and student-run events such as the Hippocrates Ball and Doc Opera.
The Student Handbook
The information and policies contained in this Handbook apply to students in the University Program of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine. Students enrolled in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) are asked to refer to that program’s handbook.
University Program and CCLCM students are both covered by the general policies of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ which apply to all students at the university.
This publication has the limited purpose of providing information concerning the programs of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine. This publication should not be construed as an offer or contract between the university and any person. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ has the right to amend, add, or delete any information in this publication, including any course of study, program fee, or regulation of the university. Policies and regulations listed in this handbook are subject to change at any time throughout the academic year. Announcements of such changes are made on a routine basis within the university and the School of Medicine.
Notice of Nondiscrimination

The Title IX Coordinator in the Office of Equity is responsible for implementing the policy prohibiting sex- and gender-based discrimination.
