Equipment Change in Status
This office coordinates a School of Medicine bulk disposal of equipment 2-3 times a year. Please contact Susette Ziats at smp7@case.edu for more information.
For disposals or internal relocations requiring outside movers, you will need to complete an Equipment Change in Status form and contact the EHS office for clearance.
For equipment change in status as a component of a faculty departure, please follow the Faculty Departure Procedures.
ID Badge Access
For new or renewal access to any School of Medicine buildings (BioEnterprise, BRB, CCMSB, Institute of Pathology, Robbins, Sears Tower, Wood, Wood Research Tower and Wolstein), requests must be sent via email by the principal investigator or department administrator to Susette Ziats at smp7@case.edu. Individuals may not request their own access.
Please include the following in the e-mail request:
- Name and employee ID
- If the individual is a non-ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ employee, contract employee or temporary employee, an expiration date is required.
If requesting access for ARC facilities, please contact Theresa Bridges, IACUC Coordinator tdb3@case.edu.
Key Requests
Key requests must be submitted by the department’s authorized key requester. Individuals may not request their own keys.

Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer Upgrade Program
Upgrade your -80 degree freezer and get a $3,000 rebate! The University has unveiled an energy saving freezer upgrade program that will help protect your research sample while it reduces energy costs. The University can provide a $3,000 rebate to labs located in School of Medicine buildings purchasing a Stirling Ultracold freezer. This Stirling freezer consumes less energy and provides more efficient, stable storage for your samples. If you are thinking about replacing your aging freezer or purchasing new, visit the Facilities Management website.
