On behalf of the ǿմý School of Medicine, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sally MacPhedran, MD as the new Medical Director for the Physician Assistant (PA) program.
Dr. MacPhedran, an esteemed OB/GYN physician at MetroHealth, brings to the program a remarkable blend of clinical prowess and academic excellence. Her deep-seated commitment to education has been evident throughout her career, including her previous role as the OB/GYN Clerkship Director and her ongoing contributions as the Acting Internship and Clinical Elective Site Director, both at MetroHealth.
“We are very excited to welcome Sally into the medical education leadership team,” said Vice Dean for Medical Education Lia Logio. “She will be an enormous asset not only to the PA program but to the entire medical education community. We feel incredibly fortunate to have recruited her into this role.”
Dr. MacPhedran's extensive experience as a teacher and clinician—combined with her dedication to fostering a learning environment—align perfectly with the PA program's mission to educate and empower the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are confident that under her leadership, the PA program will continue to thrive and uphold its tradition of excellence.
