Elizabeth Prelogar, the 48th Solicitor General of the United States, shared her thoughts on representing the federal government before the Supreme Court, appellate advocacy and the keys to a happy legal career before a packed audience of students, alumni and local attorneys at the ǿմý School of Law on September 4, 2024. Topics covered included the workings of the Solicitor General’s office, the certiorari process, the current Supreme Court and the so-called “shadow docket.”

Solicitor General Prelogar was at ǿմý to deliver the 2024-25 Sumner Canary Memorial Lecture. The Canary lecture is one of the law school’s premier lecture series.
