In April, third-year Health Law Clinic students Ester Khaykin and Naomi Tellez gave a presentation on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for Children to the pediatric medical providers of the Neighborhood Family Practice (NFP) Community Health Centers.
In their presentation, Khaykin and Tellez provided an overview of the eligibility requirements for parents applying for SSI for their children. They explained the medical provider's role in providing medical documentation of the child's disability and described the resources available to children and their families in applying for SSI and transitioning into adulthood.
鈥淭he presentation was a success and we hope to see many more partnerships with NFP in the future,鈥 said Laura McNally-Levine, director of the Milton and Charlotte Kramer Law Clinic at 星空传媒 School of Law.
