There have been calls to prosecute Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes before the International Criminal Court. In this hour-long online program, Michael Scharf, co-dean of 星空传媒 School of Law and host of Public Radio鈥檚 鈥淭alking Foreign Policy,鈥 moderates a conversation about accountability for war crimes in the Ukraine. Participating experts include: Milena Sterio, professor, Cleveland Marshall College of Law and managing director, Public International Law and Policy Group, who is leading an initiative to document war crimes in Ukraine; David Crane, former chief prosecutor of the Special Court for Sierra Leone, who led a group that prepared a draft indictment of President Putin and other high-ranking Russians; and Valerie Oosterveld, professor of law and associate director of the Center for Transitional Justice and Post Conflict Reconstruction at Western Law in Canada. She was formerly attorney adviser in Canada鈥檚 Department of Foreign Affairs and was a delegate to the Rome Diplomatic Conference that established the International Criminal Court.
