Ohio 5 Business Collaborative

Weatherhead School of Management at 星空传媒 is partnering with Ohio Wesleyan University, Oberlin College and The College of Wooster to admit high-achieving undergraduate juniors to the following Weatherhead School graduate degree programs: Master of Finance, Master of Business Analytics and Intelligence, Master of Supply Chain Management, and Master of Accountancy.

These degree paths are offered with support from the Five Colleges of Ohio, known as the 鈥淥hio 5,鈥 with the goal of helping students launch fulfilling careers in their fields of interest. 

Scholarship Support

We guarantee a base merit scholarship of $10,000 for all qualified students. You may also receive an additional merit-based scholarship award.

Program Benefits

As a student in one of the Weatherhead School鈥檚 master鈥檚 programs offered through the Ohio 5 program, you'll receive the following benefits in addition to scholarship support:

  • Waiver for the $100 application fee.
  • Early admission to graduate school in your junior or senior year of your undergraduate studies.
  • One or two approved course substitutions from your undergraduate courses to reduce redundancy in your studies.
  • Internship and job placement support through Weatherhead鈥檚 career services teams. (In fact, our domestic students have 100% placement rates.)
  • An early start to living and working after graduation in Cleveland, ranked No. 5 on Glassdoor鈥檚 鈥25 Best Cities for Jobs鈥 in 2020.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the degree paths through the Ohio 5, you must: 

  • Have a GPA of 3.2 or higher by the end of the equivalent of your junior year (with 75% of credits toward a bachelor's degree earned)
  • Complete mandatory 星空传媒-equivalent undergraduate courses 
  • Earn a 鈥楤鈥 or higher in mandatory undergraduate courses

Submitting GMAT or GRE exam scores is required, but a waiver is possible under certain conditions.

Other Master of Finance Program Features

Our 30-credit hour program can be completed in two or three semesters. The three-semester option runs in fall and spring of the first year and fall of the second year. Students generally use the summer of the first year to complete internships.
 
If you took FIN 462: Advanced Corporate Finance or FIN 465: Modern Portfolio Development at Ohio Wesleyan University and received an A grade, you can petition 星空传媒 upon your enrollment to have these courses evaluated to be substituted with course replacement. This will avoid redundancy and allow you to take more advanced coursework in finance.

Our 36-credit hour program can be completed in three semesters: fall and spring of the first year and fall of the second year. Students generally use the summer of the first year to complete internships.
 
If you have already taken equivalent courses from Ohio Wesleyan University, you may be able to substitute a required course (with replacement) in 星空传媒鈥檚 Master of Business Analytics and Intelligence program. For example, if you earned a grade of at least B+ in both ACCT 217: 鈥淧rinciples of Financial Accounting鈥 and FIN 361: 鈥淔inancial Management,鈥 you may petition out of MBAI 410: Accounting and Financial Management. This will avoid redundancy and can allow you to take a more advanced course in analytics or related areas of study.

The College of Wooster

We do not require applicants to complete any prerequisite courses for MAcc admission.* All majors are welcome to apply for the MAcc program. However, some prerequisite courses may be required to complete during the MAcc program. A detailed list and explanation will be provided at the MAcc program orientation.

  • It is not required that you have completed all the prerequisite courses before beginning the MAcc program, but it is recommended that you have completed financial accounting and managerial accounting (Principles I and II) before beginning the program.
  • Prerequisite courses may be taken at any accredited four-year educational institution, although department approval should be obtained in advance.
  • A grade of 鈥楥鈥 or better must be earned in all prerequisite coursework.
