High-Temperature Kiln

A custom kiln with a controller attached to the side

This kiln was built from extruded aluminum framing, refractory bricks, and heating wire. The electronics control box front panel was cut using the waterjet cutter, and the electronics utilize a PID controler for temperature regulation. This kiln reaches 1000 degrees C in about 2 hours and maintains the temperature with an accuracy of plus or minus 6 degrees.
