Cleveland.com: Need a coat mended? Toaster repaired? Fix-It CLE provides free help repairing clothing, household items

John Sullivan, a retired engineering technician, examines a broken ice cream machine brought to a Fix-It CLE event by ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ employee Jennifer Bartlett.

Everyone could use a good handyman. Or a good seamstress. Someone who can repair a broken chair, rewire a small appliance or mend a torn coat.

Turns out you can find just that for free at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ every fourth Thursday of the month and at a designated location in Greater Cleveland every second Saturday of the month. Next stop is the Frederick Douglass Rec Center in Cleveland on May 13.

And if all you need is a little instruction so you can make the fix yourself, you can get that, too.
