The Ohio Cardiovascular and Diabetes Health Collaborative (Cardi-OH) is hosting a webinar, “,” on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from noon to 1 p.m.
Keynote speaker Benjamin O’Donnell, MD, from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, will discuss how to:
- Describe the epidemiology of obesity and its intersection with diabetes,
- Understand the roles of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA) and sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) for diabetes and weight loss, and
- Prescribe effective and necessary lifestyle modifications as an accompaniment to pharmacological therapy.
One continuing medical education credit will be offered at no cost. .
Cardi-OH is a statewide program with investigators across Ohio’s medical schools based within the Center for Clinical Investigation under Community Health Programs at ǿմý School of Medicine.
