In the early summer of 2020, our office convened an Interprofessional Dialogues Committee. The goal of this committee is to create ways to build community among faculty, staff and students within the Health Education Campus, across ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and throughout the neighborhoods adjacent to our campus.
One of the ways we hope to accomplish this goal is through monthly dialogue sessions. For the academic year 2022 - 2023 we will offer a variety of topics of interest to our campus community as seen below.
Format for the dialogue sessions includes:
- A guest speaker offers a brief, 15-20 minute presentation on a particular topic
- After the presentation, we review our group norms for small group dialogue
- Participants break into smaller groups to discuss a few questions about the topic
- After about 30 minutes, we reconvene as a larger group to debrief the small group discussions and discuss next steps
