To be eligible for consideration for financial aid, incoming U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents must complete both the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile. Students who are not Citizens or Permanent Residents of the United States but who wish to be considered for financial aid must complete the CSS Profile.

Applications for admission for students who indicate they wish to be considered for financial aid will not be considered complete until the necessary financial aid documents are completed.

The FAFSA

U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents must complete and submit the in order to be considered for federal student aid, including the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Direct Loans, Federal PLUS Loans and Federal Work-Study. 

Dependent students must complete the form with their parents, while independent students complete the form using their own household information.

The CSS Profile

All students who would like to be considered for need-based financial aid, including students who are not U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents of the United States, must complete the .

If a student’s parents are divorced, separated or were never married, the CSS Profile application will collect information from both the custodial parent as well as the noncustodial parent. Each parent will use their own login credentials so neither will be able to view the other’s reported information. Based upon the marital status of the student’s natural or adoptive parents, further instructions will be provided when completing the CSS Profile as to how each parent may complete their portion of the application.

Only U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents who meet the following criteria may complete the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ CSS Profile waiver:

  • Family annual income is less than $65,000
  • Family assets total less than $100,000
