What is Uptown?

Rendering of Uptown Cleveland street view

Uptown is a one-of-a-kind residential, arts and entertainment district at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road in University Circle.

Phase one is a $44.5 million project raised from private and public sources, designed by award winning architect Stanley Saitowitz. Uptown includes 114 housing units and 56,000 square feet dedicated to retail and restaurants. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is the anchor tenant of the project, which includes Barnes & Noble bookstore and Constantino's Market. Thanks to a gift from distinguished alumna, Toby Devan Lewis, the university was able to create the adjacent plaza. Toby's Plaza is as a cultural hub connecting the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) with the south side of Uptown. Uptown Alley is a unique and walkable street connecting the entire Uptown project to Triangle Apartments, also owned by ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
