Graduate students Anna O’Connell (HPP DMA) and Paul Abdullah (Musicology PhD) are winners of the Kelvin Smith Library Book Collecting Prize. Click here to read the announcement.

To be considered for the contest, students had to submit a 500-1500 word essay describing the theme of their collection and an annotated bibliography for the books in their collection, including full bibliographic information for and a brief explanation of how each book fits the collection theme. Optional items including a want list, listing books they wish to add to their collection in the future and digital images of their books. Submissions were judged based on originality, chornerence of the collection, and quality of the essay and annotated bibliography.


KSL is the main library supporting the teaching and research of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, with emphasis given to the College of Arts and Sciences, the Case School of Engineering and the Weatherhead School of Management. The University Archives (located in the Bioenterprise Building), Kulas Music Library (located in Haydn Hall) and the Astronomy Library (located in Sears Building) are all part of Kelvin Smith Library.
