By leveraging the resources of both a major research university and a top-tier conservatory through our Joint Music Program (JMP) with the (CIM), you'll have access to fantastic opportunities for musical development and discovery.

You can choose to pursue a BA in Music or a BS in Music Education. Both programs require the Music Arts Supplement during the application process, and the BS in Music Education includes a live interview and audition component. If you’re interested in combining your passion for music with another field, our program offers the option to pursue a double major or dual degree. This approach integrates musical studies with another discipline, broadening your educational experience and enhancing career opportunities.
Even if you’re not a music major, you can still get involved in our vibrant music community. You can join ensembles, add a minor in music, or take recommended classes. All students are welcome to participate in ensembles or take lessons with CIM faculty (please note that instructional fees apply).
