The Ðǿմ«Ã½ Chamber Collective provides the Ðǿմ«Ã½ community the chance to make music in a fully student-led environment. Harmonie Winds was started by Emma Bentley in January 2022 as a wind consort of 9 to 10 members. Jacob Shaw created the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Clarinet Choir in February 2022 as an opportunity to perform in an ensemble with other dedicated clarinetists. Most recently, the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Brass Ensemble was formed by Jacob in May 2022 for community members to make music in an all-brass setting. After his graduation, directorship of his two ensembles was handed to Emma Bentley and Georgia Martinez respectively.
Most recently, the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Chamber Collective Small Ensembles started to provide opportunities for musicians at Ðǿմ«Ã½ to explore additional repertoire in a smaller ensemble setting. Unlike the traditional chamber music courses, the entire repertoire selection and rehearsal process is overseen solely by students.
