Longtime adjunct instructor and director of audio recording Bruce Egre passes away

Bruce Egre, a longtime Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Music and director of our audio recording service, passed away on September 23, 2020 after a battle with cancer. For many years Bruce, also a longtime faculty member at , directed the Audio Recording concentration that was formerly part of our BA in Music, training a generation of highly skilled audio engineers, and he continued to run our audio recording service through last spring. He designed and maintained the excellent audio recording system in Harkness Chapel, and he advised on the audio recording systems that were designed for Silver Hall and Koch Hall at the Maltz Performing Arts Center.

Bruce was the owner and recording engineer at , a , and a passionate advocate for a wide range of artistic adventures. His presence in our department will be dearly missed.
