Meredith Easton is Supplier Material Control Specialist for Pratt & Whitney US and Canada, which is a multi-billion-dollar business and is a part of the Raytheon Technology or RTX aerospace company.

Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units with a mindfulness for continuing to transform the future of aviation along with environmental sustainability. Established in 1920, Pratt & Whitney has maintained a focus on leadership and innovation in the field of aviation for the past 104 years while also supporting the advancement of the employees. She oversees the material control compliance, approvals, and training for twenty-nine key P&W suppliers in the southern Ohio region with suppliers in the state of Kentucky and Missouri.

Prior to working directly with P&W, Meredith began her aerospace career working at Meyer Tool, Inc., a key P&W supplier in the Cincinnati area. Initially, Meyer Tool, Inc. had manufacturing plants in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and West Palm Beach all strategically located near airports or P&W plant locations. During Meredith’s 25 years at Meyer Tool, Inc. she was able to support expansions to include additional US sites such as Connecticut, Kentucky, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Maine as well as international sites including Canada and Poland. Meredith’s focus was primarily on P&W US and Canadian product however she also served as an industrial statistician as well as lean champion building and optimizing plants and individual product cells within the manufacturing plants. Experience applying the above skill sets with EDM, Grinding, Lathe Machining, Braze, Heat Treat, Coating, Chemical Stripping, Water Jet machining, as well as consumables such as electrodes, diamond rolls, diamond wheels, ceramic inserts, and waste stream bi-products.

Meredith helped to develop an industrial statistical software while supporting the programmers by validating their software with a validation that provided data analyzed manually with pen and paper, excel, and Minitab software to ensure the statistics were accurate and consistent. This software is utilized throughout the manufacturing cells to allow for data collection, to allow for trend analysis of process improvement and process control for measurable quality goals. Prior to transitioning to P&W, she also organized a leadership program within her engineering teams to ensure consistent quality product as well as to promote a life / work balance within the employee’s lives to ensure overall promotion as well as talent retention and job satisfaction.

Meredith earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology from Northern Kentucky University, a master’s degree in industrial psychology with an area of concentration of quantitative analysis from Xavier University and is current a Ph.D. student in management from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. Meredith is also Certified in Blueprint Reading, GD&T, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Apollo, RCA, UPPAP, 6S, P&W CLCSR & DQR. Her hobbies include business, personnel and wellness development, spending time with family, gardening, horses, while traveling to beaches and spas worldwide as often as possible.
