Bo Vykhovanyuk is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, where he leads the university's cybersecurity strategy. His role encompasses risk management, compliance, incident response, and security awareness, ensuring the institution’s digital ecosystem remains protected and aligned with its mission of research, education, and collaboration. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, his early interest in technology was inspired by his father, a cardiologist, researcher, and entrepreneur. This influence continues to drive Bo's passion for building resilient cybersecurity defenses and promoting security awareness.

Before joining ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, Bo served as CISO at both the University of Cincinnati (UC) and Northern Kentucky University (NKU). He has extensive experience in building and leading large information security teams, developing unified security architectures, and implementing strategic security awareness programs. At UC, he piloted a secure research enclave with the College of Engineering and the College of Medicine and advised on the Ohio Cyber Range initiative, collaborating with the Ohio National Guard and various UC departments. Throughout his career, he has implemented security protocols aligned with NIST and CMMC frameworks and collaborated with legal, finance, and academic teams to ensure comprehensive risk management.

Bo holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from NKU and several industry certifications. He has taught undergraduate capstone and graduate-level cybersecurity courses and frequently speaks at conferences. Bo’s leadership is rooted in mentorship, promoting continuous learning and adaptation to the evolving security landscape.
