Originally from Kolkata, India, Krittika joined ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s Career Center in July 2021 and prior to that, was a senior career advisor at Kent State University, where she received three degrees - Master of Education in Higher Education, Master of Arts in Journalism, and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. She is currently working towards a PhD in Higher Education Administration while balancing full-time work. As a NACE, MBTI, and StrengthsFinder certified Career Services practitioner, Krittika is energized by the privilege of being able to empower students and alumni in discovering their sense of purpose through deep dives into one’s personality, interest, values, and skills, and then taking action towards achieving one’s definition of success.

Her areas of specialization include career education, program coordination, assessment and evaluation, and international and intercultural education, with a focus on how intersectionality, a term coined by Kimberlé Crenshaw, influences career decision making. Krittika has served in several roles within Higher Education and prior to transitioning into Higher Education, Krittika worked as a broadcast journalist, news anchor, television producer, foreign correspondent and voice actor. In her current role at the Career Center, Krittika provides supervisory oversight to the functional areas of career education and pre-professional advising services and leads the career interest areas of arts & culture, co-leads the exploratory area for students who are still exploring or undecided about their career paths and supports the area of healthcare advising.

Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband, toddler, and cat, enjoys traveling around the world, reading books, playing board games, and singing karaoke.

Fun fact: Krittika is fluent in and dreams in three different languages!
