Students, balloons, and a stage during a lively event

*We are currently updating our advisor manual and will be adding content here for Fall 2024. In the meantime, please check out the Student Organization Handbook page for information regarding student organization needs and FAQs*

Welcome Advisors!

Thank you for dedicating your time to a student organization. Whether your group focuses on social gatherings, academic enrichment, artistic performances, cultural dialogue, community service, athletic participation, or another other college experience, the student body depends on student organizations for a complete undergraduate experience. Only ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ faculty or staff may serve as an advisor to our student organizations so you are a wonderful unique and special group of individuals.

About This Resource

This manual is a collaborative effort between the Office of Student Activities & Leadership and the Office of Multicultural Affairs for advisors of USG- and UDC-recognized organizations.

Student organizations recognized receive dedicated service from a number of resources. As advisors of many of the major student organizations on campus, we recognize that it can be daunting to navigate certain processes. Our goal is to provide a resource that will aid you in your advising tasks, and connect you with help when you need it.

Here you will find a summary of what it means to be an advisor, your roles and responsibilities, and additional resources you can share with your student organization.

Please consider bookmarking this page so you can refer to it whenever you have questions throughout the year.
