Clive Hamlin, PhD

Dr. Clive Hamlin received his B.S. in Chemistry and Physics from the University of London, United Kingdom, in 1961. He also went on to earn his M.S. in Chemistry. In 1967, Dr. Hamlin earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He spent the next few years as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biochemistry at the University of Waterloo and the University of Rochester, and in Experimental Pathology at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Hamlin spent some time as an Instructor at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Institute of Pathology, and went on to be the Director of Clinical Chemistry from 1970 until 1995. During that time he was also an Assistant Professor in Experimental Pathology (1972-1982) and the Trustee and Director of University Medical Laboratories (1984-1995). Presently, his positions include Associate Professor of Pathology at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ (1982-), Laboratory Director at University Suburban Health Center (1985-), and Laboratory Director of the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center (2001-).
