Departmental Seminars

The Department of Neurosciences hosts a weekly seminar series. Speakers in this series are typically leaders in their field and are selected so that students become acquainted with a broad spectrum of neuroscience. Several seminars each year feature speakers whose research bridges basic neuroscience and neurological disease or damage, offering students outstanding examples of how one can provide molecular and cellular insights essential for understanding disease etiology and recovery from nerve damage.

Seminar attendance is free and open to the community. Most seminars are simultaneously available via Zoom. Check the calendar below for details.

Generally, our seminars are not recorded. This allows visiting speakers to share unpublished research and techniques with our audience. Under special circumstances, a seminar is recorded with the express permission of the speaker. Below are the links to those recordings.

Journal Club/Works-in-Progress Presentations
The Neurosciences Department hosts weekly Journal Club/Works-in-Progress presentations.

Once each year, each graduate student presents an oral critique of a research article or their own thesis research progress to the entire department. Postdocs are also given the opportunity to present their work.

Journal club attendance is open to members of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community.
