The Faculty Toolkit series of workshops is designed to provide SOM faculty members with basic information about diverse topics that are important to their career success, e.g. grant preparation and administration, strategies for negotiating with your department chair, improving supervision skills. Many of the topics offered are selected based on faculty suggestions. The focus of the workshops are rotated, so that a different topic is addressed each month; there are many more subjects to cover than there are months in the year!
Faculty Toolkit workshops are offered on the third Tuesday of every month from noon to 1:00 p.m. and are co-hosted with the SOM Office for Faculty Affairs and Human Resources. The workshops are recorded and are available via the internet for those who are unable to attend. You are welcome to bring your lunch; we provide beverages and desserts.
Feel free to suggest additional topics and presenters. We are always searching for more ways to help faculty to succeed and for unknown talent.
