History of Cleveland's Chinatown documentary screening & Faces of Chinatown exhibit reception

We invite you to join Kelvin Smith Library, First Year Experience, and OCA of Greater Cleveland for refreshments from Koko Bakery and a showing of the documentary film History of Cleveland’s Chinatown, directed by Cleveland's Johnny K. Wu.

The documentary will be shown at 5:30 p.m. in the Freedman Center Collaboration Commons and is approximately an hour long.

Attendees will also be invited to view Faces of Chinatown, a photography and oral history project in the library’s Art Gallery. The exhibit depicts the experience and legacy of Chinese immigrants in Cleveland, exploring topics such as the journey, discrimination, celebration, family, food, and community.
