Founded in 1963, the (ICPSR) Summer Program offers rigorous, hands-on training in statistics, quantitative methods, and data analysis for students, faculty, and researchers of all skill levels and backgrounds. Each four-week session features more than 20 courses. The four-week courses are categorized as follows:

  • Workshops: Feature intensive instruction in specific quantitative methods and statistical techniques. Workshops include "Bayesian Modeling for the Social Sciences," "Race, Ethnicity, and Quantitative Methodology," and "Game Theory," among others.
  • Lectures: Provide supplementary material to the workshops. Lectures include "Introduction to Computing" and "Mathematics for Social Scientists."
  • Participants in a four-week session may take up to 4 workshops as well as unlimited supplementary lectures during the session for which they are enrolled.
